As a trial attorney, Heather Barbieri’s mission is simple: to relentlessly and passionately pursue justice for her clients in all proceedings. Fighting for her clients is not a job — it's a calling that Heather welcomes. She believes that the liberty of each person she represents is the most important right she can defend. Whether Heather’s clients have been injured or charged with a crime, she believes it is her duty to do what is necessary to defend their rights.

Heather was born in Buffalo, NY, but has been in the Dallas area for most of her life. She graduated with Honors from Kansas State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a Pre-Law emphasis, and a Minor in Theater. She received her law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 1998 where she was an Academic Achievement Member and Notes & Comments Editor for the Law Review. Shortly after she received her Juris Doctor, she began practicing law in Collin and Dallas Counties. In 2005, she received certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Criminal Law.

Heather has extensive experience in trial law including numerous trials, and U.S. Constitutionally mandated dismissals based on the 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments as well as factual insufficiency. She has also been the lead counsel in numerous accident injury cases, as well as federal cases involving mail fraud, bank fraud, counterfeiting, conspiracy, various drug trafficking charges, and Fifth Circuit Federal Appeals.

She shares her knowledge and experience to other attorneys by speaking on the topics of jury selection, closing argument, an ethics. She is also on the faculty of the Criminal Defense Trial Skills and Trial Law College, and is a graduate of the prestigious Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, where she routinely attends their graduate courses. Heather works effortlessly to fine-tune her communication and trial skills, so that she truly understands her clients’ circumstances and fears, and can communicate that to the jury.

Heather currently lives in Plano, Texas, with her husband, Alex Barbieri, and their three beautiful children. Heather can be reached at hbarbieri@barbierilawfirm.com
