As a primary point of contact for many clients, Emily Henderson realizes the importance of providing support at every stage of the process. Whether someone is seeking initial information or has questions during or after the resolution of a case, she always aims to provide encouragement and supply the answers they need.
“People don’t always understand the process,” she notes, “and they’re often confused or scared. I want them to feel that someone is listening and is empathetic to their situation. I want them to know we’ve got their back.”
Emily has long been interested in criminal law, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas. However, she also has experience in many other areas of law, giving her a comprehensive perspective on many legal issues and procedures. Before joining the team at Barbieri Law Firm, Emily worked as a legal assistant in a number of fields, and she particularly enjoys the opportunity to learn and solve problems. She plans to attend law school in the future, but for now, she finds that engaging daily with clients on a personal basis to be very rewarding.
“I chose to work for a criminal defense firm so that I could help support people,” she explains. “I want people to feel secure and know that they are invited to ask questions.”
When she is not in the office, Emily tries to get outside as much as possible to find new hiking spots or just soak up the sun. Her favorite indoor activity is cuddling on the couch with her cat, Tater Chip.
